Please, if anybody can help find this beautiful Dog, you will make a lot of people very happy. We have just received this appeal and felt it might just be worth posting on the site. If you have seen Ougat …

“This is “Ougat” who used to live in Noordhoek in Cape Town with his owner Louise. “Ougat” used to escape home on a regular basis to visit the Noordhoek Farm Village where he captured the hearts not only of all the shop owners but visitors and locals alike. He knew just how to charm the pants off someone or how to look “totally pathetic” when looking for a snack. “Ougat” is a highly intelligent and specialised breed of dog – a VIZLA.

He and his 28 year old owner (Louise) were involved in a car accident on Good Friday (Friday afternoon the 6th April) at the Spine Road off ramp coming from Stellenbosch on the N2@ towards CT. Louise was killed in the accident and “Ougat” went missing. We are all praying that he might have survived and is now running around Khayelitsha and hopefully was not too badly injured in the accident but we really don’t know much detail at all.

The entire Noordhoek Community has come together to help search for “Ougat” in many different ways. One member of the community and close friend of Louise has offered a R2 000 reward for his safe recovery. Others are putting up lost signs and contacting the relevant SPCA’s.”

If you have ANY information regarding “Ougats” whereabouts, PLEASE  contact Kim on 082 428 9681 or the Noordhoek Info Office 021 7892812.
